Frida is now in a temporary place, in very good health and safety.
VIER PFOTEN /FOUR PAWS is now doing researches to find a final place for Frida, which offers the best conditions for the lion.
This place has to comply with the highest levels of animal welfare. Moreover, we are looking for a confidential and trustable partner, with a common basis and fundament of working and the same interests in animal welfare.
After finding an appropriate area we will have the possibility to start a forward-looking project together with a good and equal partner.

Sem ter respondido de forma clara ou satisfatória às perguntas colocadas, a Vier Pfoten mostra-se injustificavelmente nada transparente quanto a este caso, sendo que, de todo o mundo, está a receber apelos para recolocar a leoa Frida em dois possíveis santuários – que o são de verdade – na África do Sul, onde a recolocação desta leoa é já esperada, embora persistindo em não o fazer e sem explicar porquê. Por favor, usem a mensagem abaixo sugerida para responder à Vier Pfoten para office@vier-pfoten.org:

You and Vier Pfoten are either deliberately deluding yourselves to make yourselves feel better or are trying to hide the true facts. Whatever the reason, both are disgraceful.
What do you mean Frida is "now in a temporary place, in very good health and safety". She is in as she has always been in Camorhi Game Lodge, owned by notorious individuals involved in canned hunting. Vier Pfoten knows very well that it deliberately sent Frida despite being told on numerous occasions prior to Frida going to Camorhi Game Lodge, that it was a commercial lion breeding farm in South Africa and owned by Marius and Maryn Prinsloo. The owners of the farm concerned have publicly admitted to being involved in the hunting of captive bred lions (see a website of theirs www.ingulule.com) and you have the cheek and nerve to suggest that she is "safe"!!!
Furthermore, it only became "temporary" as you suggest because of worldwide condemnation of Vier Pfoten's negligence - that is why Vier Pfoten is running around searching for another location. Both Drakenstein Lion Park and Born Free/Shamwari were suggested to Vier Pfoten many months ago and now the owners of Frida, Radio Total are demanding you send Frida to Drakenstein, so what is the problem? It is an absolute disgrace that Vier Pfoten is so arrogant it will not even abide by and refuses to implement the wishes and demands of the owners of Frida.
In addition, what is this nonsense you are saying that you are looking for a place for Frida "which offers the best conditions for the lion. This place has to comply with the highest levels of animal welfare". Again what a cheek - as I say, you deliberately placed Frida in the first place with renowned figures in the canned hunting world!! You go on to say, "Moreover, we are looking for a confidential and trustable partner, with a common basis and fundament of working and the same interests in animal welfare". Vier Pfoten's "interests in animal welfare" because of Frida are sadly lacking so to avoid you making a further mess of the Frida situation, do as you are told by the owners of Frida and send her immediately to Drakenstein Lion Park.
I suggest that everyone involved with Vier Pfoten climbs down from their position of arrogance and stupidity and you all take a moment to simply ask yourselves, who in their right mind and with the bests interests of animal welfare at heart would send a lioness (even 'temporary') to a canned lion breeding farm, owned by individuals notorious for their canned hunting activities? You will then hopefully realise that at best Vier Pfoten was really stupid and at worst deliberately betrayed the animals.
Rectify immediately your appalling error, do as you have been told by the owners of Frida and send this lioness immediately to Drakenstein Lion Park. The longer this continues the damage to Vier Pfoten is going to become irrepairable - for many, this line has already been crossed.
